Well, things may have been hellish already, but everything gets downright weird once you hit The Temple Of Lomarith chapter of Doom: The Dark Ages. Not only will you be in a purple world where rocks float, but you’ll also be crossing between dimensions. At one moment, you’ll be on solid terrain, then you’ll be swimming in an abyss.

The Kar’Thul Marshes are full of things to find in Doom: The Dark Ages – here’s where to find them all.
While this chapter is far from normal, it is also fair to mention that you’ll still be collecting treasure along the way. And some of these treasures are genuinely a little tricky. Just following the map won’t be enough, there will be some honest-to-goodness puzzle-solving necessary.

The Gold On The Cliff’s Side At The Beginning Of The Stage
After you kill the pair of Hell Knights at the beginning of the stage, you’ll jump down two levels. On the left, you’ll find a pile of gold.
The Ruby On The Bridge Above The Gate
When you get to the massive green glowing gate, you’ll fight a horde filled with Shield Soldiers, Mancubuses, and Acolytes. Once you clear this squad out, while facing the gate, take a right and follow the wall around. Once you are in the bottom-right corner of this arena, look up, and you’ll see one of those green corpses. Stick them with your shield, and then shield hop up. Once there, you’ll be able to collect gold all the way to the Ruby.
Once you get close to that Ruby, a Mancubus will hop up and attack you, so prepare yourself for that.
The Codex In The Sunken Ship
Once you enter through the massive green gate, you’ll find yourself swimming. In the center of this area, there is a sunken ship. Head inside, you’ll find a Codex at the back of the ship.
The Life Sigil In The Area After The Cosmic Baron Fight
Once you clear the underwater section and kill the Cosmic Baron, you’ll be in a clearing where you should see a boarded-up area dead-ahead. However, you won’t be able to bust through from this side. Instead, dive into the deep water next to the barricade, and look for a tunnel down below. Follow it up, and you’ll be in the area with some gold and a Life Sigil. Once you burst through the barricade, you’ll have to fight a Komodo Demon.
The Demonic Essence – Ammo
In front of the second gate, you’ll fight off Hell Knights, Pinky Riders, Cacodemon Hybrids, and Mancubuses. Once you’ve cleared them out, you’ll be rewarded with a Demonic Essence.
The Treasure Chest Next To The Second Gate
Right next to the second gate you’ll see a boarded-up cave. Smash through it to grab a treasure chest.
More Gold In The Back Corner And Activating The Gate
Once you’ve cleared out the arena around the second gate, look for a climbable wall in the back corner. Climb up it, and head forward, past a Cosmic Eye, and you should see a barricade you can Shield Charge through. After smashing through it, head into the portal in the back section of this area. You’ll enter an underwater area, swim into the corner down below to get some gold, then, swim upward through the portal up above. You’ll pop out on the ledge above the first portal you entered through.
Look to your right, and you’ll see a chain you can break with your shield. Do that, then drop down, hook around to the other side of the room, shield charge the big block that you just dropped, and jump up on top of it. Now, throw your shield at the Cosmic Eye, which will now be lit up. Exit this area, and head through the second gate.
The Cacodemon Hybrid Toy Inside The Ship
After heading through the portal, you’ll be in another version of the same stage. It is the same, but different. Head up the side of the ship. Clear out the demons inside (they are primarily Imp Stalkers and Soldiers), and shield bash the cage with the toy inside of it.
Now, hop back down and head toward the gate you just came out of. In front of the gate is a Cosmic Eye. While facing it, walk backward toward the gate until you see the Cosmic Eye light up. Once you do, toss your shield through it, and it will fire a Hell Blast that will open up the cage. Hop back up inside the ship, and claim your prize.
The Second Demonic Essence – Ammo
Shield Charge through the side of the ship. Before you move on, look around the corner to get a pile of gold. Now, Shield Charge through the glowing green target in the sky. You will land on a ship. Don’t charge through the next aerial target. Instead, smash through the boarded-up side of the ship, and you will be in an area with a trail of gold leading to one of those demonic trees. Shield charge through it, and you will be attacked by a Hell Knight.
Head through the hole in the side of the ship it just made, and you’ll fight some Soldier Demons. Head into the next area, and you will be trapped. First, you’ll fight an Arachnotron and some Shield Soldiers, then it will be Whiplashes and Imps, followed by a Cyberdemon, and, finally, the battle will conclude with a fight against a Revenant.
The Pile Of Gold Before The Final Ocean Section
Head back up the ship, then through the aerial portal, and then through the second one we avoided earlier. You’ll land on another ship. There will be a little gold hidden here. Grab it, head through the portal, and prepare to go swimming once again.
The Nightmare Skin For The Rocket Launcher
Once you’ve killed the two Vagary demons, head to the northwest corner of the map. Here you’ll find a portal. Hop through it, and you’ll descend to a pit where there is a massive Tentacle. Kill the Tentacle (wait for it to reel back and then parry it) and you’ll reveal a launch pad. Take it up to the topmost area, and you will be facing the nightmare skin for the Rocket Launcher.
The Treasure Chest At The End Of The Stage
North of the arena where you fought the two Vagary demons, there is a massive ship split in two. The section on the right has a barricaded door you can Shield Charge through. Pick up the gold inside, then look to the Cosmic Eye blocking your exit. Back up while facing it until you are in the corner of the room – the eye should light up. Toss your shield into it and it will fire at the gate. You can now grab the treasure chest from that room.
The Wraithstone And Life Sigil At The End Of The Stage
Enter the ship on the west side of the map by Shield Charging through a barricaded doorway. Then, Shield Charge through another. However, the room will be empty. Now, backtrack, you’ll hear a sound indicating that something has changed. Keep doing this until you see a Life Sigil down the hallway you entered from.
Collect the Life Sigil and you will face off against dozens of Hell Knights. Thankfully, there are plenty of Melee Charges as well. So, take out your mace and bat them away. Once you have killed all the Hell Knights, check that back room again, and you will be able to get the Wraithstone.
The Ruby And The Secret Key
Climb to the top of the stage, heading for the final gate. Once you are up top, head to the ship west of the gate. You’ll be on the deck of the ship where you got the Wraithstone. Follow the gold trail to the back cabin. When you get close enough, the doors will open, revealing the Secret Key. Grab the key, and you’ll fight two Stone Imps and an Arachnotron.
Once you beat them, head to the other side of the map, crossing right in front of the final gate. Jump down to the path below the final area and collect the gold lining it. We’re heading for the Sentinel Shrine on the east side of this map. Hop down into a marshy area with a few of the smaller Tentacle enemies. Then, climb the wall.
There is more gold on this ship. Gather the gold, and head into the room with the Sentinel Shrine. Open the locked room with your key, and grab the Ruby. The moment you get the Ruby, you will be attacked by a group of Acolytes. Before you leave the area with the Sentinel Shrine, there is another room with some hidden gold at the bottom of the stairs. Make sure you grab that gold before you complete the stage.
