Summary
- Adventure Time collaboration coming to Fortnite on April 11.
- The teaser suggests we’re getting skins for Finn and Jake.
Fortnite is not-so-subtly hinting that its next collaboration will be with Adventure Time. Sharing close-ups of Finn and Jake on social media, Epic Games reveals that we can expect cosmetics from Adventure Time to come to Fortnite very soon.
Then post suggests that the collab will kick off this Friday, so on April 11. So, by the end of the week, we should have some Adventure Time-themed skins, although we’ll have to wait and see if more characters than just Finn and Jake will be represented.
Adventure Time Is Coming To Fortnite On April 11
We don’t know how the skins work, given the proportions of the characters. Of course, Jake does have the ability to stretch in the show, so that’s likely how they’ll get around the fact that he’s an anthropomorphic dog. Seeing him and Finn run around and shoot people will be fun, at least, but the same can be said for all of the other wild collabs we’ve seen over the years.
This comes soon after the announcement that the current season of MultiVersus will be its last. While the two stories might not seem related on the face of it, it was reported that Warner Bros. would be more open to collaborations with games such as Fortnite after its own crossover live service game failed to take off.
Many fans are making this connection and are pleased to see that Warner Bros. is finally more open to sharing its IPs with other studios. A lot of fans are also asking for Regular Show next – a series which never even made it into MultiVersus – so we’ll have to wait and see if Mordecai and Rigby will eventually join Finn and Jake.
