Best EXP Laners In Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

EXP laners are Heroes with many purposes. Up until the first turrets gets destroyed, your goal is to either ensure your enemy doesn’t get fed, split push the turrets, or get fed enough that you can start contributing to teamfights later on. With all of that in mind, here are the strongest EXP laners.

Gatotkaca

A Tank Found Its Way To The EXP Lane

Gatotkaca from Mobile Legends standing proudly.

A strong EXP laner needs the ability to sustain themselves in battle without recalling every few minutes to refill their health, since the enemy Hero will likely push your turret if you do so. They also need the ability to stop your lane opponent from getting gold by tanking damage and making it difficult for them to last hit minions. The ability to tank damage while also dishing out bursts of your own is also helpful, making you a second tank when your team needs one.

Gatotkaca’s Ultimate lets him jump a great distance across the map. This lets him join teamfights, even as an EXP laner.

For all of this, one of the best Heroes ends up being Gatotkaca, a character best known for his role as one of MLBB’s strongest tanks. He has tons of healing on his passive, the ability to turn your enemy’s damage against themselves, enough magic damage of his own, and various forms of Crowd Control. Gatotkaca won’t be pushing any turrets, but he’s an EXP laner that will ensure your opponent does not have any fun whatsoever in the lane.

Argus

Immune To Death, Periodically

Mobile Legends, Argus standing in the Hero select screen.

Benedetta’s second skill may let her negate damage, and Gusion’s various dashes may help him dodge incoming attacks, but when death draws near, no amount of skillful outplays can save you from the end. Fortunately, one of the most beginner-friendly Heroes in Mobile Legends isn’t bound by mortality, having an Ultimate that lets him become completely immune to death for a few seconds.

Argus is a character that deals most of his damage with his normal attacks. While most melee characters that rely on such a method of attacking aren’t viable in higher ranks due to the risk involved with getting in close, Argus’s ability to render himself immune to death lets him bypass this trend.

Sun

When You Can’t Trust Your Team, Clone Yourself

Mobile Legends, Sun standing in the Hero select screen.

While EXP Lane is often the most chaotic place to be, sometimes you don’t need to engage with your opponent at all. Why would you need to risk going out and dying when you can just wait for your opponent to leave and then split push their turrets until you reach their base?

You can build items like the Demon Hunter Sword or Golden Staff to make the most of Sun’s multiple on-hit effects.

Sun is a character focused on normal attacks. He can summon clones that let each of his attacks hit multiple times, giving him great use of on-hit effects. However, while a fed Sun can certainly melt opponents, your main purpose is to use your clones to beat down the enemy turret, not the enemy Hero. Even if you go against a Terizla who repeatedly beats you the entire game, a Sun can end up winning games by himself, even with 11 deaths, so long as he gets to push.

Alpha

True Damage, Low Cooldowns, And Tons Of Sustain

Mobile Legends, Alpha standing in the Hero select screen.

As one of Mobile Legends’s oldest heroes, Alpha has gone through a number of revamps that completely changed his skillset to try and make more people use him. Moonton achieved this with his latest update, making a character that is so strong that you can 1v5 enemies with your high lifesteal and regen, so long as you get fed enough.

Alpha’s passive lets him deal True Damage on attacks after dealing skill damage twice. This makes him strong regardless of how much defense your foes build. Additionally, his second skill has a large AOE and even more regen, making him heal back to full HP if multiple enemies get hit. His Ultimate, while not entirely game-changing, is a dash that stuns, letting you use it as a gap-closer, to run away, or to stun the entire enemy team once.

Cici

Gotta Go Fast

Mobile Legends, Cici standing in the Hero select screen.

Being quick on your toes is an extremely important thing in any MOBA, which is why most strong Heroes in Mobile Legends have some form of mobility that lets them dodge incoming attacks and escape certain death. For most characters, this mobility comes in the form of dashes and teleports. Sometimes, though, just running extremely fast is enough.

Cici is an EXP laner who never stops moving. Her skill one lets her attack enemies while continuously on the move, and her passive ensures she sticks close to enemies without letting them get away. While she’s quite prone to being Crowd Control due to her continuous DPS nature, her HP-based damage and general capacity to weasel out of any situation makes her one of the strongest yet most annoying Heroes to play against.

2

Benedetta

Walking Gets Tiring, Try Stabbing Instead

Mobile Legends, Benedetta standing in her character select screen.

If you find walking too boring and holding your weapon out to be a chore, picking up Benedetta ensures you dash across the map and that enemies get killed the moment you unsheathe your sword. As a playable Hero, she has the most dashes of any other character in the game, and while she’s not the easiest to learn, a good Benedetta has more outplay potential than anyone else.

Benedetta’s passive allows her to dash every second or so by holding her normal attack, essentially giving her an extra skill with little to no cooldown. She deals immense AOE damage with her skill one, and her skill two lets her nullify any and all damage (and Crowd Control) for a few seconds, parrying anything that comes into contact that stunning enemies if someone tries CCing her. She also has a strong Ultimate with one of the longest dash distances in the game.

1

Chou

Remember To Spam Recall

Mobile Legends, Chou standing in his character select screen.

Chou is the uncontested king of the EXP laners for those who’ve practiced him well. He has a high skill floor and requires a lot of games before you learn to make the most of his kit, but a good Chou will always ensure his presence is felt throughout the map.

Despite not having the same level of tankiness as many other strong EXP laners, Chou is a fighter who has a seemingly infinite number of dashes that let him jump around the battlefield. He also has shields on his second skill, knockups and slow on his first, and an Ultimate that guarantees a kill on an isolated target. All of this, and Chou can also negate any form of Crowd Control with his second skill.
