Summary
- Tekken 8 fans are once again disappointed, this time by the reveal of the game’s next character addition, Fahkumram.
- Most of the complaints are about “recycled” content, as Fahkumram is yet another addition to Tekken 8 who was also Tekken 7 DLC.
- Fahkumram’s playstyle also fans concerned that Bandai Namco isn’t taking complaints about aggression seriously, while one says they’ve “never had less faith” in the developers.
Tekken 8 has been suffering a slow fall from grace ever since the start of Season 2, which made an already aggressive fighting game even more aggressive, despite the vast majority of fans not liking the direction in which the game is headed. Harada has promised to help address issues, and the game’s next update was a chance for the devs to start righting some wrongs.
Unfortunately, Bandai Namco have somehow managed to disappoint fans even more than they already are, and it’s mainly down to the reveal of Fahkumram, the next character being added to the Tekken 8 roster this summer. Normally, when a new fighting game character is announced, there’s a feeling of excitement, but the reaction to Fahkumram dropping from the sky brought forth nothing but groans from fans.
Tekken 8 Fans Are Now Upset Over Fahkumram’s Season 2 DLC Addition
A Reddit user called Corken_Dono even managed to put together a compilation of reactions from various streamers, and they all share the same disappointment. Most of the anger seems to stem from the fact that Fahkumram is yet another Tekken 7 DLC character added as DLC for Tekken 8, and people are pointing out that Clive is the only character that wasn’t playable in Tekken 7 that has been added as DLC.

Tekken 8 was review-bombed shortly after the launch of Season 2. What is going on, and why do players think Tekken is dead?
Fahkumram was also known as a very aggressive character in Tekken 7, which has convinced many that Bandai Namco isn’t doing much to address all the recent complaints that Tekken 8 is too focused on aggression. You’ve also got complaints about the devs supposedly “recycling” old content, and the whole thing has just piled more disappointment on top of a game that is not doing well at the moment.
You have fans like Reddit user Butterlord108 claiming that “the negative review stays”, which is a reference to the game’s brutal review bombing ever since Season 2 started, while another called Claibur1980 says they’ve “never had less faith in the developers of this game”. Not great when you’re relying on new character additions to drum up hype, so here’s hoping these upcoming balance changes do something to stop Tekken 8 from becoming a lost cause.
