The Elder Scrolls Online Pride Parade 2025 To Take Place In Auridon

Summary

  • The Alphabet Mafia guild is hosting a Pride march this year in The Elder Scrolls Online, walking from northern Auridon all the way down to Vulkhel Guard.
  • This is only for PC-NA, but the event’s Discord is collating all other events in a separate channel.
  • There’s also a fashion and housing contest, of which the winner will be rewarded with prizes.

Every year, The Elder Scrolls Online community bands together to celebrate Pride Month with a lavish in-game parade, highlighting that “LGBTQIA players are an important and included part of the gaming space”. For 2025, the Alphabet Mafia guild announced that it’s hosting a march in Auridon, where the crowds will walk the main road from Firsthold down to Vulkhel Guard, covering most of the island.

“We’ll start with marchers gathering at 8pm Eastern on Saturday, June 14 at the Firsthold Wayshrine in northern Auridon,” Apollonia666 wrote in the dedicated Discord server. “Step off will be at 8:15pm Eastern and we’ll proceed south across Auridon to end with a party on the beach”. Anyone is welcome, too: “Just show up with your friends to have fun or come up with themes. Bears riding bear mounts? Everybody in bi pride colors? Stud lesbian orcs in chain mail? Yes, please!”

This is only for the PC-NA server, but in the Discord server, the guild is collating other Pride events, so keep your eyes peeled.

There are a few rules (or “tips”) worth keeping in mind if you decide to participate:

  • Walk, don’t run;
  • “If bigoted buttheads show up to try to troll the march or say nasty stuff”, just block them and grab a screenshot;
  • Turn off nameplates and hide the UI for cleaner screenshots;
  • Dismiss non-combat pets or mounts unless they’re an “essential” part of your look;
  • And make sure to dismiss all combat pets, too — “No big flappies, please!”

“I Have Never Seen Such Negativity For An Event Like This”

Unfortunately, the thread announcing the event on the game’s subreddit has already been closed, leaving behind a graveyard of deleted comments. You can glean from the replies what they might’ve said, with users like u/HintDeadFish writing, “Asking for no politics in an Elder Scrolls game is absolutely insane cognitive dissonance”.

The comments on this event are really gross.

Alphabet Mafia is also having to take precautions on the Discord server. There are no open forums to discuss with other fans and march-goers, which has stifled the event’s spirit compared to previous years. But there’s a good reason for it, as an earlier Tamriel Pride server was shut down after “being overwhelmed by users posting hateful speech.”

To those who claim Tanlorin doesn’t fit into the world of The Elder Scrolls, narrative director Bill Slavicsek says, “They’re wrong.”

Nonetheless, that hasn’t deterred the guild from hosting the march, which will hopefully pick up steam ahead of June to rival prior years’ incredible displays of acceptance.
