Umamusume: Pretty Derby is nicer to you when you are a beginner, but the more you play, the more you encounter challenging trials. It can take you a while to become a true racing legend. There is a lot to do in the game even after winning the Ura Finale, but only if you have time to spare.
As you keep increasing your rank and get obsessed with getting a higher rating on your horse girls, you will find yourself itching for more challenges. Be careful what you ask for, and if you are confident about your existing trainees winning everything, trying to accomplish these difficult tasks will shatter it quickly.
Legend Races
Defeat The Legends
Occasionally, you will find Legend Races in the event races sections on specific days. These are hard to win, but if you do, you get a good amount of star pieces for the racer featured in them.
You can then use these pieces to unlock stars for your trainees, making them more formidable. Winning them is not easy, unless you get some B+ rank horses who are also competent in the specific tracks. Even if you lose, you still get some rewards, so they are worth trying out.
Triple Crown Races
The Highest Racing Honour
Winning the Triple Crown races is no easy feat, as you will need to win a series of three races consistently. This can be hard to accomplish without the right stats, characters, and support cards. The senior year tournaments are even harder to win, and if you lose, you will need to start the entire career again.
This is definitely not a task for beginners, but if you have spent some time with the game, give the triple crown challenges a go. You may have farmed enough legacies to get your stats to an optimal number.
Champions Meeting
Winning Isn’t A Bad Dream
If you are done competing against in-game bots in Twinkle Series, you may be getting bored. Champions Meeting lets you compete against the strongest of trainers across the globe. This PvP mode is no joke, and you will find even your A-rank horses a bit lacking.
It has two modes, namely open league and graded league. Open League has rank restrictions, so it might be a better option for you if you don’t own some S-rank trainees. Even in the former option, you will really need to optimize your racer to stand a chance in the final round.
Becoming A Racing Legend
They Love Me
You ascend to become a legend as you keep getting fans during your career. If you make it all the way to the finals, a lot of people will favour your Umamusume, but your trainee may still not attain the highest rank even at the end.
Gaining fans requires a lot of effort, and you will require some additional wins other than your career goals. Winning G1 races helps in that, but they are the most difficult races in your career, so you will need to be competitive during training.
Improve Your Team
Work On Every Type Of Umamusume
Champions Meetings don’t happen that frequently, but team trials do. In this PvP mode, you will constantly test your team of racers against others to get promoted to higher classes. The harder part is that you need strong contenders who are proficient in their track aptitude.
If you fail to defend your position, you will be demoted next week. Making sure that your trainees are always competitive is no easy feat. You will constantly need to evolve and train your Umamusume to stay ahead.
Doing Team Trials is a win, even if you lose and get demoted, you will still get a few carats.
Win The Twin Races
Pair Your Wins
Umamusume has a series of twin and dual race challenges you can try if Triple Crown is proving a bit too much for you. The Twin Tenno Sho is a notable one, which requires you to beat both the Autumn and Spring pair of races in a year. The latter is a long race, so you need high stamina to win it.
Dual Dirts can also be harder to achieve, considering that there are not many Dirt racers in the game. The easiest ones are Dual Miles, which require you to win Yasuda Kinen and the Mile Championship.
Win All G1 Races
Consistency Is The Key
There are several G1 races scattered across the calendar in the career mode. You will gain trophies for clearing them, which also gives you some extra Carats as rewards, so these are worth completing if you are looking to get all achievements.
You can’t win them all in one go, as they differ in types and aptitudes. Aim to get as many G1 wins for your characters to also gain epithets, which you can show off to other fellow racers. The races near the end of the year are especially harder to win, and victory only comes after trials and errors.
G2 and G3 races are easier than G1, so you may want to clear those first.
Get An S-Rank Umamusume
Way Harder Than A-rank
Getting an A-rank Umamusume isn’t even a challenge if you are playing consistently for a month. Your horse girls continue to grow with new support cards and legacies, continuously increasing their ratings. However, getting it to S is nowhere near close.
There are very few players who have accomplished this feat, and they definitely had a lot of time on their hands. It’s no easy task getting an S rank number in several stats, and also acquiring multiple skills to achieve this.
Farming High Star Sparks
Gotta Get Them All
Getting sparks once your career is complete is a random process, so it will take a while to get exactly what you need. While you can try methods like raising one stat to its maximum number, there is no guarantee that you will get a nine-star for it.
Repeatedly playing through the careers is the only way to get them. You can also acquire skills to get the specific sparks for them. It’s worth farming sparks, especially if you are trying to build some parent Umamusume legacies to train your ace.
We highly recommend focusing on getting speed sparks, considering it’s the most important stat.
Completing All Missions
Grind Through Them All
There are regular event missions that require you to complete multiple races to win rewards. They feature races in all formats, and you need to raise the best horse girls suitable for the various tracks to win them.
There are also a few permanent missions that you should complete, especially if you are an achievement hunter. They usually consist of using particular race horses and winning specific races. But beware: completing all of them will take its sweet time.
